The NRA Annual Meetings 2017 in Atlanta is in the books and it was a busy one. Thanks to all that came out to our booth (#4558) to say “hi” and to check out our new products. We enjoyed meeting all of you – from our steadfast customers that have been running our gear for years to those that came across us brand for the first time and left as our newest customers. For those of you that aren’t able to attend the show – we’re bringing the show special to you online! Enjoy 20% off all holsters and mag carriers and 30% off all belts. Orders of $240+ after discounts receive a free belt.
We released our newest carrier at the meet – the SGUSA Utility Carrier – and the response has been overwhelmingly positive due to its versatility. Designed with input from general contractors, we designed the Utility Carrier to accommodate a Leatherman® Wave® (and other multi-tools of similar size) and a flashlight with a 1-inch barrel. Our OWB Utility Carrier allows the user to carry two of the most commonly used tools for daily tasks comfortably on the belt and always at the ready. Conveniently, the carrier shell for the multi-tool also holds a single stack magazine snugly.
In addition to shells for a flashlight and multi-tool, we offer options for double stack and single stack magazines. This allows the user to configure the straight-draw Utility Carrier that will suit his or her needs the best. Configure your own straight-draw Utility Carrier here.
A StealthGearUSA Special Project, the §229-SD knife designed by Paul Laemmlen received a warm reception from attendees of this year’s annual meetings. Made of 1095 high carbon steel, these hand-ground blades feature ergonomics that allow for multiple knife grips. Purpose-built as a tool for self defense, the §229-SD ships with a Tek-Lok equipped sheath that can easily be converted to IWB carry with an angled clip kit that is also included.
We launched the §229-SD as an NRAAM exclusive but will be bringing it to our online store shortly so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for information on when these knives will be available on our site.
At StealthGearUSA, we’re manufacturers of high performance gear but we’re also avid fans of other companies that are always looking to innovate and bring new and improved products to market. Here are some of the new firearms we saw on display today that we think will be popular among concealed carriers in the near future:
The Heckler and Koch VP9SK looks to take the fantastic ergonomics and solid reliability of the popular VP9 and deliver it in a more compact and concealable firearm. We are excited to get our hands on one of these beauties and bring to market Ventcore® holsters that will accommodate this fine firearm.
Drawing significant interest from NRAAM attendees was Springfield Armory’s latest offering from their line of XD® pistols – the XD-E. The svelte XD-E features a single/double action trigger and a slim grip that measures 1-inch wide. Another interesting feature of the XD-E is the “low effort slide” that will benefit those that are lacking in hand strength.
Slated for a summer release, Glock is delivering among other new models, Glock 19s and 17s with front serrations, steel sights, and extended controls. These are all features that many Glock users have been asking for and it’s great to see a company that listens to its user base and delivers. We strive to do the same at StealthGearUSA.
That’s a wrap on day one of NRAAM 2017. Stay tuned for more news and updates as the weekend progresses and don’t forget – we’re running a great promotion during the show. Enjoy 20% off all holsters and mag carriers and 30% off all belts. Orders $240+ after discounts receive a belt for free. This is one of the best promotions of the year so gear up now and save!
